realizing that this friend has always been here and I have abandoned them
A long time ago you would be the one I turn to,
Nothing could ever have meant more to me in my whole world.

After pain, countless disapointments you managed to stay true,
Never ever realizing how much of me was invested inside of this one thing.

I am somehow something less then myself now,
How could I not see that this was the most imortant part of my being.

I realize that I found my strength the day we met,
Hopeless and alone no one to heal worries in a silent vow.

Understanding that somehow through word I am free,
Being heard when others might not other wise care to listen.

Underneath my wall of steel, I can just be me.
Before I was lost , writing touched me in away that I'll never be caged again.
