There’s a little white pill
That I take every day
“It’ll make you feel better”

And washed down with some juice

Waiting for the effects to be produced

Waiting and waiting,
But not one change takes place
My thoughts still depressing,
The pain’s not erased

It’s supposed to make me happy?
I laugh at the thought
That it will make me feel better
When I know it will not

Though it doesn’t work
I still swallow the thing
Hoping for the joy
That they say it will bring…
