One of the first decent songs I wrote. I think I was going for a happy punk genre of music
"Smiling at You"

I kept on thinking,
about you today
and I don't know how it happened,
somehow you came my way
You told me, that it's going along
But behind that phoney look, I knew it was going oh-so-wrong

Chorus:
In the dark, what were you looking for?
Crawling on the floor
Don't be afraid, anymore
to open that door
You saw the light, but you turned away
And I can't help, but say
"Hey, what's the matter, anyway?"
Can't you see I'm smiling at you, today

And if, you keep on thinking, about how it sucks
or how bad it hurts, or how it's all screwed up
Whatever the problem, don't heistate
You can solve them, just learn by making mistakes

Chorus:
In the dark, what were you looking for?
On your hands and knees
Don't be afraid anymore, just ask and receive
If you see the light, then don't walk away
If you can't help but say, "I had a bad day."
Just know that I'm smiling at you, always

Smiling at you...
