And Rain Falls
And Rain Falls

It's 2:30 in the morning
And she's out driving around
The road really doesn't have much to say
But it's certainly better than being back home

The headlights get lost in the fog that's pretty much empty
She thinks: I can relate, I feel pretty empty too
She suddenly screams to the center line
I've done the best that I can
She swerves a little as she whimpers: I've given all I have
What else can I possibly do

Lost on a dirt road in the middle of the night
She wonders is this all there is to feel
Is this all she has to call her own
She'd be all alone if none of this is real

It's 3:30 in the morning
And she's still driving around
The road still hasn't said much
But nothing it could say could stop her from going home now

Headlights burst through the fog and burn in her eyes
She thinks: It doesn't matter, I've got nothing to see anyway
She suddenly swerves to the other lane
I did the best that I could
She smiles through tears knowing she's almost home for good
And then it starts to rain.
