A woman trashes her boyfriends apartment after thier breakup

The ceramic heart collided with the white wall
Shattered into pieces
Just like when I smashed into you
My heart exploding, its shards fused into you
I was apart of you.

The knife’s edge ripped through the love seat
Where we once loved, for hours we sat and lay
Chemistry stained the red fabric
I avenge it all with one long sharp stroke

The CDs you made,
Of songs of us
I take and break
To forget the love
That broke me
scattered on the floor are
Broken lovesick memories

I won’t forget the sentimental bear
With “I love you Dear”
Sewn into its chest
Its cotton guts are spilled
Upon your shard filled
Carpet

I browse for another relic
Of a love that was all a lie
To tear, to desecrate, to cast away

But instead…

Something of yours, I see
A treasure to destroy
To compensate me and
My broken heart

I push the large black frame
it crashes to the floor
Sparks fly, glass breaks
Your 52 inch plasma screen joins the mess on your apartment floor

Material things, that you loved more than me are gone
So why isn’t my heart healed?
Its still a mess
Just like your apartment floor
