a woman who had lost her husband to war.
She lay her head down soft on the sheet
Wiping the tears, and curling up her feet
A long slow sigh leaves her lips
As she pictures her lover boarding the ship
“Forever” she wispers his words so sweet
But never more will they meet
For his spirit was lost that day at sea
“Come home to me” that day said she
And now she lays alone and lost
He did it for them, and she pays the cost
With one last breath she closes her eyes
Death took her with sadness to happiness surprise
For there he waited with his arms spread wide
“Forever” he said “with you by my side”
