a poem about depression
Taking things one day at a time.
For there is no tomorrow,
Just an empty void, full of nothing.

Taking things one step at a time.
For if I look further on,
I will see there is no place to go.

Placing one foot, then ano'er.
For if I stop placing feet,
I will lose all urge to move at all.

Getting up, living , and breathing.
I wander blindly through life,
For that's all there is for me to do.

There's no joy and there is no reason.
Nothing to look forward to.
No purpose, no spark, nothing at all.

Devoid of hope, devoid of life.
An empty shell of a life.
The hollow man, waiting for the burn.
