A poem about gambling
Folks call me the gambling man
I make a buck any way I can
Sometimes honest, sometimes not
A pack of cards is all I've got

When lady luck is good to me
Good fortune is my best buddy
I double down and win the pot
But that don't happen to me a lot

A man must make a bet each day
Or he may lose the one that pays
Losses can always be recouped
Resources may need to be regrouped

Gambling has a long history
Still it is such a mystery
Human nature loves to win
Some say gambling is a sin

But what is life if not a gamble
Through this life we all must scramble
No one knows from day to day
If their bets will ever pay

So deal the cards or roll the dice
Win or lose there is a price
This may be your lucky day
If it is your bet will pay

Play the cards that you are dealt
And watch your pile of money melt
In gambling there is one sure bet
The more you play, the less you get.
