This is a poem I just thought of today while sitting in the shade.
Here I am up again
to face the day anew

I grab my pain pill
to get me all the way through.

OH the thought of climbing in my wheelchair
as I sit here and pray

Thoughts of what this day will bring
on this beautiful day in May.

As I navigate to the kitchen with my aches and pain
I make a cup of coffee as I do everyday

My hands are cramped as I continue on my way
wondering if this will be the last day.

Taking all this in I wonder to myself
what did I do to deserve this fateful hand

If there is a GOD in heaven
then turn me into sand.
