Regretting some foolish outburst of mine - a rhyming poem.
I squandered like someone who disregards,
The promise of kindness and humblest regards.
Feeling sorrow and owing my friends huge debts,
I’m dealing with a host of solemn regrets!

I’ve lost much respect for being a fool –
I’ve acted unstable, forgetting my cool.
Where a white lie could’ve avoided much harm,
My emotions, I displayed, like a fire alarm.

My temper will flare, and I’ll begin squawking;
I mustn’t mislead, but my words do the talking –
The freedom I worship, despite taking sides,
Can lead to wrongdoing – my anger abides…

I know that to live includes making mistakes –
Try as I might, there are good and bad breaks.
So while driving my car with its head and tail lights,
I’ll seek His direction during the darkest of nights!
