This poem is about finding true love and trying to hold on to it by any means neccessary
I want to hold you, kiss you and stare into your eyes.
I want to tell you that you mean everything to me and I want this forever.
I want to talk about the present and make plans for our future together.
I want to be secure in our love and know that no one can ever tear us apart.
I want to love you....
Why won't you let me?
There's no long talks or dinners by candle light,
No walks in the park or trips to cafes.
No, you just won't let me.
I give you what you want and what you say you need.
I give you space and time alone, all the while my heart continues to bleed.
There's no roses or cards or little notes saying "Just because I love you"
No, there's no sweet words or all the things that you used to do.
So I hold on because my heart does and I stand strong because I know
That sooner or later you will see what you have,
What I have to offer,
What I offer to you
And I don't think you will let this go.
I love you but I don't think you see it
I want you but I don't think you care
I believe in you but you insist on not being there
I will love you the right way, make you happy and take part in building a life
Because I love you and one day would love to be your wife.
If you let me.
