Astronauts on Mars discover a huge cache of gold. How to get it back home...
“It’s gold I tell you. Like an entire vein of it, and it’s just beyond that ridge in a cave.” Terry pointed.

“Did you forget where we are?” Rodney deadpanned.

“I guess I didn’t think about how to get it back to Earth.”

“Exactly. Besides if you mention this find, it won’t be yours. It’ll be the government’s.”

“So, what do we do? I’m sure as hell not going to give it to those worthless politicians. I’ll fight them if I have to.”

“It’s a great find and we can dig a lot of gold in a week. But how do we keep it?”

Both men fell silent. Terry's mustache twitched in deep thought. Rodney scratched his head. The radio broke the silence.

“This is NASA command are you there?”

“Red Bird is here. We blast off one week from today. Please send the rendezvous coordinates and timing,” Terry requested.

“Sending now. Confirmed.”

Both Terry and Rodney sighed.

“What we need is an emergency.” Terry said.

“Why?”

“Then we can eject the tool module during our descent.”

“Of course! The tool kit module. But we don’t need an emergency. We’ll empty it, fill it with gold, and eject it just before descent. It’s a simple press of a button – an accident. They’ll never look for it, but we will.”

“Brilliant. But we need to track where it lands.”

They packed the tool module to full capacity.

In top news -- A blinding flash streaked through the crisp morning air, and a tremendous impact struck the capitol building today, wiping out more than half of Congress. At least 650 are dead including staff. Many believed it was a terrorist act. This could not be verified. However, many conspiracy theorists insisted that a gold-filled bomb ejected from an incoming government spaceship.
