Here is the great black stain we leave behind upon the land.
Upon crystal parchment
the age old tale of greed
and avarice slowly bobs along
until it meets beach sands.

The message is sent,
when the earth bleeds.
Driven by heartbeat, strong,
hate covers our lands.

In the paradise God lent,
man raped to fulfill needs,
signing off the wrongs
with crude-covered hands.

Nature's laws circumvent,
and avarice reaches top speed.
Oil slicks 500 miles long,
upon this our legacy stands.
