A short thought of apathy.

I wish I could say the world was black and white, but, there are shades of gray.

There are those who wake every morning and never see the light of day.

We expect the most from others and want the best for ourselves,

Yet we can only deliver half of what we want and none of what we say.

When I was younger, loved ones left, I would hurt, be confused and cry,

Now that I learned better, the only thing I can do is say 'Goodbye'.

I liked it better when I was younger, when I was judged on what I could feel,

These days that luxury is costly, it's something I'm likely to steal.

I want to eulogize the feelings I had when I stood about three foot three,

The most favorable ones, it seems, are buried deep within me.
