power outage brings different sounds to ones ears
Its dark in my home.



The sounds of no electricity compell me to listen.



A cough from my husband as he lies in slumber.



The motors of all the appliances have died.



The quietness is enough to wake him.



Footsteps creak the wooden floor as he fumbles in the dark



Trying to find a light.
