this poem song was inspired by a photograph taken in 1912 in cobh.cork boarding de titanic
White Star Line.

So many dreams and expectations
and emotions all combined,
of the many folks there waiting
on the great white star line.

they christened her the Titanic
and they said she looked so fine,
then she was the pride and joy
of the old white star line.

there was singing and dancing,
where rich folk wined and dined,
no luxury could be forgotten
upon the white star line.

She had full steam ahead
and was making plenty of time,
when she struck a mighty glazier,
then the clocks began to chime.

Few were the survivors,
and many were the dying,
when they all went down together
on the curset white star line.

In the cold Atlantic waters,
there's not a flower or sign,
to remember all the victims
of the doomed white star line.

They said she could never sink,
few safety boats were consigned,
take heed all ye sea-fairers,
never trust a white star line.
