The Siren

Calls out to me

I see her song, bright

Black on white, endless text

Colorful, wonderfully annoying ads

I doubly curse myself for following, and her

For being so incredibly, tauntingly, familiarly irresistible

Yet still she holds me captive, leads me around by the ring in my nose

Never letting me forget her, or forsake her presence, even when I step into port

Still I hear the silent, urgent, haunting, beckoning call of that beautiful she-devil of the seas
