This is a poem from a poetry book that I have published. The book is "The Blocks of Faith"
There’s a bridge I can’t cross,

Crossing it leads me to God’s glory,

But there is no way to reach it.

I’ve tried everything,

But nothing works,

I started weeping.

Then Jesus came to me,

He asked me why I wept,

I told Him my problem.

He asked me if I trusted Him,

I asked Him, “Why do you ask?”

He told me there was a way,

But it required a heavy price.

“What price is that,” I asked,

“My death on a cross,” He answered.

“Why would you do that,” I inquired,

“Because I love you,” He replied,

“And I want you to cross.”

“Yes, I trust you,” I confessed,

“Then follow me,” Jesus commanded.

I followed Him whole heartedly,

We crossed the bridge together.

It will be rough,

But with Christ,

I’m safe,

Forever.
