The Christmas Mouse is a short story packed with adventure from a mouse's point of view.
Jingle poured her thoughts into the dew that she sipped from redwood leaves.  Eyllop, a barn owl who was once her enemy was now like the brother she never had-at least, ever since she found out he hadn't killed her mother, Irene.  Yet, none of it made sense.  Mel, her half-sister, was supposed to be the Christmas Mouse.  All of the signs pointed to Jingle, though:  the ruby"stone of love", her name, feared by mice, bravery.  How could Jingle love her husband, Chester, while befriending the owl that attempted to kill him?  Clearly, she had bigger fish to fry than most thought. Of course she would choose Chester, they are practically related...but Eyllop was honest.  And that meant the world to her.
