A poem about a hug I received about a month ago.
Tears fall.
In the process,
I forget how to make them stop.
You embrace me,
not because its natural,
but because you believe its the right thing to do.
I hate you for it.
Your arms are bony atop my shoulders.
Have you forgotten how to hug a girl?
You embrace beneath the arms.
But I don't pull away.
I'm too tired.
And I crave the hug from you too much.
Even though its all wrong.
My tears come to a halt,
as you pull away.
Thank god.
I want to start the moment over.
I want to hug you back.
