this is a poem i wrote my junior year in high school for an english assignment.
I was in the Sacramento child devision
Oldest by a couple seconds
I slept in one day
which was against the rules
Then my father came in
"I have some upsetting news"
well what can it be?
I know i broke the rules
Im so sorry
I wont do it again
He gave a weak smile
Looked and me and said,
"My daughter, your leaving"
I was shocked and in horror
"What do you mean?"
"I promise i wont do it again."
He looked at me with loving eyes
and simply said
"Everyone in this division has to leave
But i gave you guardians to look after you"
guardians? like angels can it be?
He knew what i was thinking
He went on to say
"My darling, you will call them
Mom, Dad, sister and brother."
At that moment i felt a tug
"lord! Lord please no!"
And then it was done.
I saw my mother for the first time
She was beyond beautiful.
The last thing i remember
Was my heavenly smile and a tear of love
To accept my new family
and to enjoy my new life
Here on earth apart from my father
The father of love
