I woke up one morning with this image on my mind.
Exams are behind me now.

I stuff up my tattered backpack,
with tomes that rallied my attention.

Emotionless I stack them,
on their way to some dust-covered shelf.

My recorder pops up,
held together by shriveled duct tape.

A beat reels,
ejecting memories of an era bygone.

I see her dancing…
we dance the past away.
