a series of diary entries about the day that I discovered human bones
Dear Diary,                                                                                January 1946

Today I went for a swim in a creek and when I was getting out there was a human skull. I walked along the bank to see if I could find the rest of the body. As I was walking along I kept on finding bone upon bone so I decided to pick them up and take them home with me, but not to tell my parents about them.

Dear Diary,                                                                                    January 1946

When I was walking to school today with my friends a strange man said to me that I should put them back as soon as I could, but I just ignored him and thought nothing of it, because I was alone yesterday so I kept on walking. When I got to school I asked my friends if they saw him and they said no, but I knew I wasn’t dreaming so I shut my mouth.
