A short poem about daring with a twist ending.
Heart pounding, wind roaring
I plunge into the icy abyss
Brave, yet every ounce of me tingles with fear
I hold my breath, waiting for the impact
as I'm airborne, flying and falling suddenly merge into one
I feel the break of water as I emerge, head-first
into a chlorine-filled pool
