an exploration of the dark recesses of the poets mind
The scary place (where poems come from)

Haunted nights and invaded dreams
Sudden frights and sudden screams
Ghostly flights and ghostly schemes
These are my plight, these are my themes

I live the dark, I live the fear
No love to spark, no music here
This is no lark, this is no jeer
My life is stark, and austere

The ghoul is black, in time and space
My trail it tracks, No hiding place
It starts to hack, my limbs and face
I can’t fight back, to my disgrace

It owns my dreams, I cannot sleep
It gathers steam, and further creeps
I cannot scream, I cannot leap
Not as it seems, Not in too deep?

Can it be true, is there still time
What can I do, to absolve the crime
I’ll pay what’s due, I’ll make the climb
For without you, there’s no need to rhyme
