A metaphore- turning thoughts into leaves.
Where did my thought go? It is like a fluttering leaf, drawn from the tree by the teasing breeze. It may be caught again, if the catcher is quick, but it is impossible to return it fully to the twig it left. It is gone. It cannot be re-attached. The catcher is too slow. The thought is gone. It is lost now forever in the swirl of energetic air, just waiting to be set gently on the soggy autumn soil, like other thoughts lost before it. But just as one thought is lost forever, other thoughts are grown and caught, picked up from other trees and held gingerly in the hands of the catcher. You wont let this one get away, will you? You'll keep it safe, sheltered, nurtured in your hands, in your mind... Ignore the noise thats destroys such thoughts. Keep it safe from the pollution of others. Then, when it is solid in your mind, in your hands, when it has grown so large you can contain it no longer, let it fly; show it to all who can think, make it multiply in others minds so that it grows on others' trees. Show the world your thoughts. Do not lose the fluttering leaves. Catch the fallen thoughts.
