He is not sure why he traveled to this sea
Thoughtlessly I travel to the sea;
drawn by feelings yet unknown to me.
Longing for the seas' sharp salty smell,
ringing of the lighthouse warning bell.

Walking by the water's sandy shore,
shadows in my mind of many years ago.
Twist of fate, why have you brought me here?
Memories locked in time won't reappear.

Breezes smell so sweet; I know that scent.
Happiness was love so often spent.
Time moves to a former haunting year;
tears roll down, this pain I cannot bear.

She's here, she's near,how can that be?
She lost her life on this deadly sea.
A shadow moves across the shifting sand,
reaching out to take my waiting hand.

She's whispering softly,now's  the time
to leave behind you time trapped mind.
A smile moves across my face with ease.
Our love will always sail on velvet seas.

Stopping here has caused the sharpest pain.
Our years together was my only gain.
Am I free to change my life once more?
As I open yet another door.
