I wrote this in my poetry class and I would greatly appericate some feedback for this.
Ode to the Moon
I sat on my window sill
The cool wind feathered my face
I shuddered against the chill
There the moon hung in grace
She shore in her perfect light
Such beauty that nothing else compares
Most hope to capture her perfection
And the stars sparkled in the velvet night of theirs
Shows their affection without rejection

A sigh escaped my lips
Gentle as the breeze around me
A numbness rose to my hips
I feel so numb but free.
She baths our world in gentle light,
Even if you feel alone
You are never will be
She watches you like a knight
On her velvet throne
She shows you what you want to see.
