If I was any good at poetry, this might have been a good idea.
If truth is beauty, and beauty, truth.
Then beauty cannot fade with youth.

If the world's a stage and we're all stars.
Why drink ourselves to death in bars?

If love will make us all a poet,
then every man alive should know it.

If fortune favours only the brave,
What will become of this lowly knave?

If absolute power corrupts absolutely,
then share out the burden equally.

If time is the healer of all wounds,
then roll on time, we need healed soon.

If money makes the world go round,
where will integrity be found?

If every war is naught but a crime.
Can't we find better use for our time?

If wit is but educated insolence,
then sod it. I'm going back to my fence.

If an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind,
then why's our first thought to respond in kind?

If nobody can bring you peace but yourself,
calm down, and put all your fears on the shelf.

If everything that you can imagine is real,
perhaps all negative's but a layer to peel.
