Something that I just worked on from one single line I had in my head.
If you look at the world through my eyes
What would you see?
For there's a million different people
Staring back at me.

They look at me through closed eyes
Shallow pools of deep despair
But when you look into these eyes
You'll find, there's nothing there.

The soul seeps out
Unleashed by lies
The deafening shriek
Of heartless skies
Upon ground we stand
Emit beams of light
Together, we shall stand and fight.

Such emptiness and loneliness
A wise man's words of war
We work all day, the price we pay:
To want and wish for more.

There is so much emotion
In one painful, broken glance
And when you look again, you'll see
A wise man's lost romance.

You'll see this through my heartfelt eyes
It's the price I have to pay.
Hate is not the path I chose
Heartbroken, I will stay.

The heart seeps out
Unleashed by love
The lonely cry
Of a broken dove
Upon ground we stand
Emit beams of light
Together, we shall stand and fight.
