First place in "The Amazing 55 word story Contest" - Sept 2010
My heart thumps wildly in my chest as I walk hurriedly down the echoing corridor filled with muted light. My footsteps echo against the white-washed walls my grandfather built long ago. It has been a long time since I was home. I am the prodigal child returning. Who will be left to greet me?
