Those who transition from being hidden in the shadows to demanding the world's respect.
Looking does not mean seeing
Listening doesn’t mean comprehending
Loving doesn’t mean caring
Having breath doesn’t mean living

Those who dwell in the shadows of another
Will rise from anguish
To claim the consideration of which they pray
To begin with no thought
Only to follow in the road paved by the successes and failures of those past
To ending with a street of their own
Exclaiming their sovereignty to the persons who pushed them back
Doubting their strength and autonomy
Now there can be no skepticism, the proof never ending
Freedom being reached
Once a follower now being bathed in light
No longer in a shadow
But illuminated by opportunity and wisdom
No longer following
But trekking alone, leaving tracks where emptiness once reined
They come from sorrow
And create delightedness in life

They know that

Looking does not mean seeing
Listening doesn’t mean comprehending
Loving doesn’t mean caring
And having breath doesn’t mean living
