An attempt to see something bright in spite of the clouds of depression.
Crushed and smarting!
Yet go on I must,
For behind the clouds,
The sun is always shining.
And even if I can’t see it now,
Yet will I imagine it,
And cling to memories of it,
Until its rays pierce my clouded senses,
And warm up my emotions,
Cracking the cold expression of pain,
Back to a warm smile,
While restoring joy again.
For in this state of sadness,
I cannot remain.
