The unrelenting feeling of being let down

From a single phone call
You come so unexpectedly
Weighing me down
Almost more than I can handle
I hang up
I can not do anything
But suppress you
Ignoring the swimming anxiety
That lies inside me
I continue with my day
Everything is blurred
Everything is dulled
You take away the joy
You take away the light
I am in my room
No longer able to resist
Tears fall down my face
My pillow greets them
Accustomed to the dampness
They bring each night
My heart all to warmly
Welcomes you time
And time again
When will I learn
You’re just a dramatization
There is no need
For your existence
When will I realize
I cannot expect
Unless I wish
To be with you
Disappointment
