The things that made me move - kept me happy - for about an year.
You will get lots of material or articles on why one should prepare for an MBA; why one should write CAT and all that. You can surely get a lot inspired from those articles. I guess, you can get inspired as much from this article as well.

Activities are two types - productive and exhaustive. As far as my understanding of human tendencies goes, I know that a person who does lots of productive activities ends up being happy.

Any productive activity, involves a stimulus, something that pushes you forward. The stimulus honestly speaking, is present in every one of us. Everyone of us will be having a personal interest/goal(In my friend's words - a purpose). We almost always would have known it.

The stimulus, as we grow transforms into different goals. For some of us, it is a success in our career, for some of us, it is about leading a happy social life, for some it is acquiring more education, more money, anything.

When we start preparing for CAT we all are atleast 21 years of age - which I believe is the age in which all of us would have reached a stage where we have exactly discerned what we want in life.

Preparing for CAT for most of those who write involves rigorous effort. I have seen most people starting to prepare for CAT but stopping it in between because of some reasons.

I think, those who stop preparing do it not because of the level of competition, though exceptionally high, but because of the stimulus which we talked about.

If the stimulus is something that gives them awe, all of them are able to go towards it. So whoever is preparing for CAT, should first self-inspect and try to figure the thing that gives them awe, fills them with enthusiasm. Once they have done that, they need to find how CAT is going to help them on the way. If this is done properly, then there would be no problems in your preparation for CAT.
