This is a poem about the need to escape, and get away from everyone and everything.
Have you ever felt trapped?

Your head's pounding,

And you can't get away fast enough?

Turning to run,

Everything moves by you in slow motion,

Running through whatever exits is closest.

And hitting the ground running.

Your steps aren't long enough,

Your not moving fast enough,

And that feeling of being trapped hasn't left you yet.

You stop and sit somewhere,

A park or a tree,

And everything is in a daze.

You can't seem to think straight,

And nothing is making sense.

Running didn't help,

So you take your time on your way back.

You get back to where you were,

And are instantly reminded of what made you run.

The feeling of being trapped comes back,

But you learned that running didn't help,

So you resort yourself to either,

Crying, or bearing through it with a smile on your face.
