9 knives, keenly sharpened, forged to kill love.
She stood in the shadows, eyes hooded and cold, pain deadened.
9 knives, glistening in the dim light.
9 knives for him, he who had put her through so much.
He who was weak, where she was strong.

There is was, at last, she thought grimly.
Time for him to feel the sharpness of her steel,
9 is to good for him, but they would all find their mark.
She would make sure they drive deep.
Make sure they would cause wounds that never heal.

Wound him like he had wounded her.
An eye for an eye.
Biblical retribution.
Justice would reign, as she has her day.

With wrist flick, seemingly effortless, off they fly...
Taking the worm by surprise...
Driving deep into his dark worthless heart.
First surprise,
then..realisation,
and finally anguish.
all in the blink of an eye.

A grim smile of satisfaction, as he falls to his knees, eyes pleading, confused.
With a final look, she squares her shoulders, wraps her cloak around her as she turns from the path, walking into the gloom.\

He looks helplessly on , at her fading form, mouthing words that would never come.
saying to little to late, words falling lifelessly on deaf ears.
as he feels the darkness coming, he embraces the coldness of nothing.
He carries an emptiness inside him, and she finally saw him through unclouded eyes.
Finally saw the taint in his soul.
and she felt dissapointment.

9 knives.
Thats all it took, in the end.
9 sharp gleaming knives.
