The feeling of being used.

It appears in the nothingness
Beauty to horrible to disregard
Nets of such charm and lies
Wrap and ensnare the willing

The creature departs swiftly
You sway along drifting behind
Desperate for beauty, reality disappears
Mind consumed with want and need

It drops you in a warm snug pit
The walls are close but suitable enough
At the least it will be there with you
But this is a lie it only stays a while

Corrupt love leaks like a gas chamber
Swirling, descending, settling
Creating poisonous dreams and hopes
Yet you settle in comfortable in deceit

Its words mock adulation
Its eyes cheat a longing for passion
Its arms give out false infatuation
Yet you fall in to horrible belief

And it comes like your pet
Wanting to be held and loved
You abide hoping for your dreams
Yet when you reach it slithers away

You wait in your convinced conceit
No one could take your place
No one could love and care and give
You wait and want and give and love

It has stolen the importance of life
Happiness, love, admiration, comfort
Emptiness is left unguarded afraid
You realize there is nothing left

For it took and took and stole
Rendering nothing in return
It sees the waste you have become
Anger and hatred rises up inside

How dare you ask for it to stay?
It only comes when it wants to play
How dare you ask for affection in return?
Full of fury at your nerve of weakness

It laughs an echoing heart breaking laugh
“You thought you could be happy?”
Nothing ever looked so naïve and foolish
Its smile so sweet and lips lovingly speak

“You were never special you disgust me
I didn’t ask for your kindness or your gifts
Foolish girl you have nothing now,
Now your nothing to me”

Left wandering in mistakes of past
Confused thoughts emerge
How did you get here was it so wrong?
Security crumbles like broken bread

It has left you alone with no way out
You catch your heart as it starts to fall down
You find that it’s a stone turned all black
Look what you’ve done you can never turn back
