A poem about a lost loved one

I can feel you around me, But no one is there;

I can feel your presence for it’s in the air.

How can we speak when so far apart?

Yet I know you are there for you’re in my heart.

I’m left with reminders all over the place;

Each night in my dreams I remember your face.

The way that you smiled the way that you cried;

I remember your face on the day that you died.

It was peaceful and happy yet no longer you;

For you were not dead you were here with me, too!

I went home alone, but with you at my side

I was haunted by love from the day that you died.
