a poem about autumn
        An autumn night

There was a cool breeze
Blowing through the sunset
Time seemed to stand still
As summer slid into fall
The maple trees on Main Street
Swayed in a gentle breeze
The rusty colored dead leaves
Swirled across the grass
The warmth of the day
Fell silent in the cool evening
Stars twinkled above
In a cold autumn night
A light snow started to fall
Trying to disguise the season
