A brief poem about the future chances I did not take
For all the creatures I once did love

where art thou now?

My decision to ignore and simply shove

has lead thy future how?

Think of the possible paths

in which the man has less taken

these supposed calculated maths

of the path that's more shaken

I may have taken the usual route

be silent and eventually flee

I have trudged an uncommon road of doubt

to only reach a denial plea

where art those stems that so thrived amongst my land

for the ones that I loved but could no longer stand

have they withered got up and bore?

with another land that could withhold your chore

or have they hidden among my border

missing the love I thought was disorder

what of those delicate flowers I once looked upon

to nervous I'd shame the petals that they once did don

have you spread your affection since?

To grasp me again from my cold shoulder distance

I tried to ignore at a time

but sometimes as I find your garden my past does chime

what of those chances I never took

thinking them risky as my mind mistook

so many possible futures

now healed with sutures

because I was too afraid

that the chances would lead me to a lonesome shade

but alas a difference that is no longer saw

the truth that I did not take them lead to the supposed flaw

again alone I am today

for the captivating creatures that I could not sway
