When you lose someone, how do we cope?
Where does the days go,

what about the years,

just yesterday we were riding bikes,

but then the very next day you were gone,

it was like a slap to the face,

to know we'd go through this phase,

on this day, we are all haunted with grief,

the reminiscence of that smile that one wouldn't forget.

You left without say,

you left without note,

but most of all you left without a pause,

so quick and skilled were the angels to choose,

a life to take without remorse.

To think some of us hold rage,

others hold tears,

but most of us ask,

Why?

Or all of the above,

we are asking,

are you looking down upon us?

You may have left with a silent tongue,

given a gaze so cold, it left a scar,

eluded yourself, strayed from ones who only cared,

this day, know you are no different to us all,

you may be up there with all the angels,

laughing, running, having the freedom you had wished,

this day is yours to take again,

grasp our hearts and consume all there was still to say.

You may be gone now,

but the memories that we all share,

from the times we were young,

until the time called for goodbye,

this month, this day, you will forever,

be in our hearts, we will see each other,

clearly when the time calls.
