Loss of a husband through bereavement.
Memory Lane

She sits beside the window.
Looking out in vain,
for that old, familiar figure.
Ambling down the lane.
Looking for his guidance,
yearning for his love.
Aching now with loneliness,
feeling numb and void.
Avoiding all decisions,
that are waiting to be made.
He would have made them with precision,
nothing lost and nothing gained.
Tears of sorrow flowing,
for the life that used to be.
All the future holds now,
is a cherished memory.
