Fifteen minutes of writing from Picture prompt
The air brushed cold against her skin as she pulled the large pewter door. It stuck and she slid through the small gap. The throne at the end of the hall came in to view, struck by the evening suns long lingering rays. The gold shimmered with times past. Adrianas footsteps on the cold marble floor fed back their sound, to be devoured by the vastness of the grand hall.

A tear welled, then fell on to her pale right arm as she drew it up to wipe the tear away. Broken marble tables blocked her way and exquisite tapestry's littered the floor. Bodies like detritus, lay strewn across grey marble benches. The dark crimson blood spoke of the time of this battle. Not long ago these limbs moved.

Her knees cracked hard as she fell, she held her dead fathers hand and wept.
