love unexpected
Blinded to what lay ahead, I stumbled
Upon my dearest friend – a soul so true
Powerless, my protective walls crumbled
The blessed moment my eyes gazed into you

A reflection of fate smiled back at me
Sincere, pure, unexpected, and surreal
No longer a ship lost upon the sea
You complete me, allowing me to feel

Though different paths may be walked day by day
Our spirits remain joined, for this I pray
