comic poem about a bicycle rider
"Icicle Bicycle "

Icicle Bicycle,
just bought you today.
I'm snowbound and pedaling
to town all the way.

No slippin' or slidin'
my knobbies bite good,
through snowdrifts and whiteouts
and dark winter wood.

My girlfriend is angry
there's frost on the seat,
now the snow's letting up
but it's starting to sleet.

They took my damn license,
it's no freakin' joke;
I'm a mad pedaling demon
with slush on my spoke.

As I pedal along,
the wind in my hair,
I'm glad I am wearing
my long underwear.

In my cold frigid travels
I am quite a sight
with my pretty blue lips,
my ears all frostbite.

The lesson to learn here
is this I am told;
don't give up that license
for a spoke in the cold.
