This is about a very inspiring teacher I had the joy of working with this past month.
Her beauty once was grand but now has aged,
The world which once was hers has passed away.
She feels that all her life has been enslaved
By hardship and by sorrows felt each day.
Although most of her life she worked so hard
The teachers in her life made her have soul.
The chains that kept her still and held her barred
Were ripped apart, her strength breaking their hold.
She now lives out her life to teach her heart,
Her students see her youth and all her joy.
The days we have with her till she departs,
Will spread meaning through every girl and boy.
A woman, teacher, friend who helps us grow
A woman split in half now makes us whole.
