Determined to maintain my identity.
Being Me

Having taken the road not usually tread,
Whether by choice or otherwise, I don't regret.

Age is just a number, it is well said,
One only grows old in mind, so why fret?

Against any other school of thought, I protest.
Not being where I do not belong, that's best.

When I don't want what others will always suggest,
I listen to my heart and just contest the rest.

I've had to wait but for me the whole eternity is left,
That what I wish, may take long, but is mine to invest.

I imply my own rules, take my own test.
I don't seek perfection; there is no thing perfect.
