A soul writing about letting the dearest and most troubled love of your life - go...
Shattered Souls...

Beware the broken heart;
Take heed to where you’re led -
Make notice of the things that pain!
Show caution where you tread.

I curse the day we met.
I rue connections found.
Were I to have one wish this day -
‘Twould be to be unbound.

For then we’d have no past;
No happy, homey light.
No bonded souls nor crimson smiles
That pleasure and delight.

Forgone are times of joy;
Now withered and decayed.
Demands upon my inner self
Upon me, heavy - weigh...

With you there is no pause;
Your life is what you will.
Your stark, abhorrent, caustic thoughts
Have made you such a pill!

Dear God!  I want to live
Without your pits and falls!

Devoid of the dramatic way
You live within your walls!

I don’t like what I see
Deep in your shattered mind.
Self-centered, masochistic ways!
How can you be so blind?

I pray you find true ‘self’
Within your careworn days;
I wish for you sweet happiness -
An end to your malaise.

For no more can I stand
By you - who owns my heart.
Your ways cause too much ugliness -
It’s time we grow apart...
