The end of Life for Tai
Tai

As morning light ebbed softly past the shadows of the night
Kittens cried for freedom, imprisoned in the womb
And my love lay dreaming, still lost in the silent wonder
Of make believe worlds and castles made of ice

A precious blanket, given with love,
Could not comfort Tai as she cried
Hidden in the box away from prying eyes
And tiny hands that need to mother

Its twin in pink, held my lovely babe tight
She nuzzled her blanket fast asleep in her bed
She never heard the last whimper of poor little Tai
How will I tell her no kittens were born?

Life must exist to give birth to new
As Tai went home, the kittens did too
Scooped up by the angels, held in their palm
Those innocent babies embraced in Gods love

A symphony of sadness, executed in perfection
Tender was the moment as deities embraced
Their threaded fingers reaching across the sky
And the heavens cried snowflakes, as I sat watching
